A new version of the 1800SE has been released and it began shipping on September 27, 2011.

 Below is a list of the modifications that were part of this new release.

• A new ATM light has been added to the unit similar to the NH 2700.
• The key tips on the keyboard were changed to make it easier for the visually impaired to identify the keys.
• The “How to Use” Sticker has been removed freeing up space where customers can place their own decals.
• The molding is now all one piece.
• The flicker lights for the receipt printer and CDU have been removed.
• The Upper cabinet and lock assembly have been modified.
